Finish Destiny 2’s Main Storyline Campaign and Save Your Comrades from the Red Legion Invasion on Earth. You will get an item that starts a quest called A Broken Will on Titan (should take you about 30 minutes of gameplay total to finish it). This unlocks World Quests which you can do once a day (resets at 1:00AM Pacific Time).
World Quests now popup on Titan with NPCs asking for your help, look around and see if you can find those NPCs. If you cannot find them just keep checking back, eventually they should show up. Talk to them and finish the quests they give you to progress the story for this DLC.

After you finish the last quest and defeat Ghaul, a new vendor will show up and offer you a quest called A Gift From The Speaker. This will unlock the SUROS Regime Exotic Auto Rifle which is your FIRST SEED OF LIGHT .
Check our Weapon Reviews Section for more info on how to get the SUROS Regime. Unfortunately you cannot get another Seed of Light until Wednesday, October 10th at 5:00PM Pacific Time. There are reports that people have received 2 Seeds of Light on Tuesday, but for some reason it is not working for everyone. We will update this article when we know more!
What is the Seed of Light in Destiny 2 and what does it do?
It will be your first Exotic Weapon and the first Seed of Light you will get in-game! This weapon has a unique talent called The Whispers which causes Void damage kills to summons a member of the Who’s Who . Besides purchasing gear, after completing the last quest there is a new NPC called The Speaker . He will give you 3 daily world quests to do which reward 1 Seed of Light each. These quests reset at 5:00 PM Pacific Time each day. At this point, you should have completed the story and saved your comrades on Earth (check our end game guide if you haven’t), which means you can go do these quests immediately after they reset.
How do you get the Seed of Light in Destiny 2 and where is it located?
The Seed of Light will be your first Exotic Weapon that you can obtain in Destiny 2! You will get it after beating the Main Storyline Campaign. There are reports that people have gotten Seed of Light’s on Tuesday, but Bungie hasn’t officially announced anything about this yet.
It looks like Bungie has made changes to Destiny 2 where you have to wait until Wednesday, October 10th at 5PM Pacific Time for another Seed of Light.You can get 3 daily world quests from The speaker which each reward 1 Seed of Light . These quests reset every day at 5PM Pacific time! You should try and do these quests as soon as possible because you only have 5 days to complete them or they will expire!
How do you use the Seed of Light in Destiny 2 to increase your power level and other benefits?
The Seed of Light is like any other Exotic Weapon in Destiny 2. It has its own stats and talent tree so it will work just like your normal weapons.
