If you have an iPhone and an Apple Watch, you can keep them both up to date by updating your iPhone first, then your Apple Watch.
To update your iPhone, go to Settings > General > Software Update. Your iPhone will check for updates and prompt you to install any that are available. To update your Apple Watch, go to the Watch app on your iPhone and tap My Watch > General > Software Update. Your Apple Watch will check for updates and prompt you to install any that are available.
